Salon treats Sparrow clients to special day

Home of the Sparrow residents were the recent recipients of up-to-date styling, thanks to the generous staff at Salon Coccole, 591 N. Rand Road, Lake Zurich.

Owner Rosa DePaola said "I'm so proud of my associates ... they voted to come in an extra day and provide professional services to Home of the Sparrow clients who are involved in the difficult task of overcoming their current circumstances through the opportunities provided by the Sparrow program.

"It was heartwarming to hear their stories and realize how much they appreciated our interest and help. We received so much from the experience."

Home of the Sparrow, a local charity, provides transitional housing, counseling and job-skills services to women of the Northwest suburbs finding themselves in personal distress with nowhere to go. Loss of a job, illness, death of a spouse or abusive situations are some of the reasons for this occurrence.

Thank you, Salon Coccole employees, for helping these motivated women in their endeavors to become self-sustaining members of society.
