Kellermann team ready to go to work

Dear Neighbors: Thank you for your support in the election. By now you have heard that the Kellermann/Olson/Sands team garnered the most votes! Bob Kellermann was elected village president, while Keith Olson and Dale Sands will serve as trustees for the Village of Deer Park. Joyce Trost Beattie will fill the third open trustee position.

This would not have happened without you, the voters, going to the polls and expressing your opinion.

We had a tremendous amount of help from the very beginning. This help often came in the form of encouragement, offering of professional services at no cost, and assistance to get our message out to the citizens of Deer Park. Rather than name so many people here, please know that we greatly appreciate your help.

For example: Our team received crucial help in securing legal assistance to deal with the challenge of our applications for the election; we had skilled and talented assistance to prepare/maintain our web page (www.savedeerpark.net); professional help in the design, production and distribution of our printed materials that were first class and instrumental in getting our message to the community; countless hours of many in making phone calls to friends and neighbors; many hours to secure second ballot signatures with a Notary Public to validate our applications; neighbors offering to host our signs/posters around the Village, and last but not least, Sue Kellermann and Debra Sands, for believing in us and providing encouragement, advice and counsel along the path.

And now with excitement and enthusiasm, our focus shifts to the work to return Deer Park to you, the citizens. Rest assured we are finalizing action plans to address our first 100 days in office, and beyond. We will need your help to move the village forward as our community has so many wonderfully gifted and creative people.

But let us say again, thank you for your support, vote, confidence and for this opportunity to serve you!
