Phone fees sticking it to city folk?
We're all a little miffed by the burgeoning fees being added to our phone bills. The one that is starting to look ridiculous is the Universal Service Fee. You know, the one where everyone in urban areas pay a fee on their phone bills so that everyone in rural areas can get access to high-speed Internet and telephone services at the same rates. Well, that was back in the '90s. Now there is equal access to these services in rural areas at the same rate that urban areas pay. It's called satellite and cellular. Now, let's just cancel this one punitive fee that is no longer relevant. Or is the man just trying to stick it to us city folk?
