Ethics, not bravery, determine position
I am responding to George Blinicks' letter. He states, "I trust that anyone who opposes stem cell research will refuse any future remedial treatment that will come from this research." You had better believe I would refuse. We can get just as good results from adult stem cells. And if he were to say we couldn't, I would say no. I definitely would not want to be cured at the cost of destroying a human fetus. Why is it that some people don't get it.
The taking of a life for preserving another cannot be justified.
He later states "I trust that you will bravely decline the treatment" I don't know if I would call it bravely, but I would decline, and I would call it ethical. And as he stated, to do anything else would be hypocritical.
