Fire displaces Long Grove families

Four families were displaced by a kitchen fire early Thursday at an apartment building on the 4000 block of Bonhill Drive in Long Grove. Firefighters from four departments responded to the blaze at 2:41 a.m. after two adult residents woke to the smell of smoke, according to a news release. Everyone in the six-unit building was safely evacuated. No injuries were reported. The cause is under investigation.
