Don't give govt. a foot in the door
Just a note to Helen Clark in her March 23 letter to the Fence Post. Some of your comments are sound but your attack on AIG is a bit heavy. The government knew of the bonuses before the bailout, one-tenth of 1 percent of the bailout. You want the government to take their bank accounts, put liens on their houses, cars, etc. There is nothing the government wants to hear more than citizens giving them permission to destroy the Constitution. The Constitution is what stands in their way of doing what you want to do.
Believe me, I'm afraid of people that think like you. After the government kicks down their door and then comes to kick down your door I will not be defending you. I will be bricking my door shut.
