Elmhurst man charged with police impersonation arrested again
Editor's note: Eiseman was not guilty on November 20, 2013.
One month to the day after being charged with impersonating a police officer, an Elmhurst man has been accused threatening a victim with arrest unless he paid him.
Raul Eiseman, 44, of the 400 block of Emery Road, was arrested at his home at 1:52 p.m. Monday and charged with aggravated impersonation of a police officer and armed robbery, Chicago police said.
This time, Eiseman, who had a job in Des Plaines, demanded $150 from a man, threatening to "arrest" the victim and take him to a police station if the victim didn't pay up, police said.
Eiseman made this threat to the victim while wearing a gun belt and police badge, officials said. He also told the victim he was a private investigator, a lawyer and a police officer, officials said.
On March 15, Eiseman was charged with forcing a 43-year-old man to pay a $400 weekly fee for a year. During the collection of the money, the victim was threatened while Eiseman pretended to be a Chicago police officer, authorities said.
Eiseman was charged in the previous incident with aggravated false impersonation of police, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated assault, according to the Chicago Police Department.
Eiseman was arrested in March during a sting operation. When he was arrested, police said, he had a handgun in his possession, a phony police badge, handcuffs and an extendible baton.
