Four injured in Grayslake crash
Four adults and a child were hospitalized after a three-vehicle crash in Grayslake Monday morning.
Grayslake fire officials responded to the crash at Route 60 and Erhart Road around 7:34 a.m., officials said. Traffic was closed to Route 60 between Route 176 and Fremont Center Road for about 35 minutes while firefighters from Grayslake, Countryside Fire Protection District, Mundelein and Wauconda worked at the scene. Firefighters extracted one person from a vehicle that came to rest in a ditch, officials said. All five people were taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville with injuries that did not seem to be life-threatening, officials said. Everyone involved in the crash were wearing their seat belts and the child was in a car seat, officials said.
