Hundreds attend 'Blessing of the Bikes' in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON -- For hundreds of central Illinois motorcyclists, it was the day of the Holy Harley.
More than 400 motorcycle riders attended Saturday's 17th annual Blessing of the Bikes at a Harley-Davidson dealer in Bloomington.
Members of three motorcycle organizations, including a chapter of the Christian Motorcyclists Association, conducted the blessings.
Members asked riders their names and then recited a prayer about safety.
After the blessings, riders got stickers that said, "I Was Blessed In '09. Jesus Loves You!"
