Who really received the bonuses?

This is regarding Jake DeSantis's resignation from AIG. He was paid $1 for his 12-month employment of 60-hour weeks while doing everything he could to salvage his portion of the investments, and he did.

Salvaging billions in investments as he was contracted to do.

He received $742,000 after tax (maybe), which he will donate to charity. Congress hasn't finished changing the rules yet so who knows. It could wind up the final payment after tax is something like $150,000. Let's not forget the IRS already confiscated roughly $750,000 of the original bonus. What did they do for it? They basically caused the original problem with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and AIG. So didn't they wind up with a bonus?
