Obama's failures come as no surprise
During the election, I was stunned by the number of normally Republican voters who voted for Barack Obama. And now I am stunned by the disappointment and surprise that those same Republicans are now expressing in President Obama's actions. They are shocked that the President has signed the enormous stimulus bill, shocked he has signed an enormous budget with 9,000 earmarks after promising to end them, stunned at the number of Obama cabinet candidates that had to drop out for cheating on taxes or for conflicts of interest, stunned that Obama is going to implement job killing cap and trade taxes, stunned that Obama supports the card check union program that will end the secret ballot, and stunned that Obama appears to be way over his head on the most complicated executive job on earth. A perfect example is when Jim Kramer of CNBC who supported Obama, recently screamed on the air that President Obama has destroyed more global wealth then any human in history by his actions in the last 50 days.
What were they thinking? Barack Obama had no executive experience what so ever, had the most liberal voting record in the Senate, clawed his way to the top through dubious characters like William Ayers, Tony Rezko and the forever warm and fuzzy Rev. Wright. He is doing exactly what his past actions predicted that he would do. All anybody had to do was objectively look at his track record and past actions, and his current actions are totally predictable. It proves that emotional and naive hope is no substitute for hard and tough judgment based on facts. Let's just hope that the damage will be reversible.
