Naperville models show off charm of active-adult condos

A scenic natural setting with lakes, nature trails and conservation area provides a perfect backdrop for the new Alpine Series condominiums at Carillon Club. The popular active-adult community in Naperville offers a luxurious yet carefree lifestyle for those at least 55 years of age.

Cambridge Homes presents five new Alpine Series designs with two shown as professionally furnished and decorated models. Each residence features one-level living, private deck, laundry room and individually controlled heating and central air conditioning.

The mid-rise building includes a central elevator, secure lobby with video entry system and indoor heating parking. The building is Energy Star certified for greater economy and environmental preservation.

Located off 95th Street, 1 mile west of Route 59, Carillon Club features an 18,000-square-foot clubhouse that serves as the hub for more than 40 clubs and includes state-of-the-art facilities including indoor and outdoor pools. Other activities and amenities include a no-fee private three-hole golf course, tennis and bocce ball courts, horseshoes and gardening as well as a family recreation center with shallow depth pool and playground for residents to entertain visiting grandchildren.

"Many prospective buyers have been waiting for the opening of the Alpine Series condominium models," said President Paul Ivers. "They especially appeal to empty-nesters living in the Naperville area who want a more streamlined lifestyle, buyers who own a second home in the Sun Belt and singles that prefer a secure building in a gate-guarded neighborhood. Also, Carillon Club offers a lifestyle where active adults can enjoy new activities and make new friends."

One of the models is The Alta priced from $209,000 with 1,243 square feet, two bedrooms and two baths.

The entry with coat closet features hardwood flooring that flows throughout. The kitchen shows black appliances, wood cabinetry topped with granite, walk-in pantry, cocktail prep area and a half wall that opens up to a view of the living area.

In the living/dining great room, a floral centerpiece tops the round dining table and an area rug brings color and texture to the space. A sofa and chair provide seating while a large credenza with mirror gives the room a spacious feel. Sliding glass doors open to the outdoor deck.

This expansive living area separates the two bedrooms, which creates an ideal guest arrangement.

The master bedroom with large walk-in closet features a burgundy wall, tangerine spread and draperies, two end tables with lamps, dresser and mirror and a reading chair. The private bath has two sinks and walk-in shower with clear glass door.

Furnishings in the guest room include a bed with colorful quilt and mirror arrangement above, end tables, chair for reading and large walk-in closet. The second full bath sits off the entry near the second bedroom.

The Eldora, priced from $220,000, is the largest plan with 1,370 square feet, two bedrooms and two baths. With an end location, this model features extra windows for a light-filled living area.

An inviting entry with guest closet features wrought iron décor and other artistic touches. The plan has a distinctive character with an angled hall leading from the foyer to the open kitchen and living/dining area.

The eat-in kitchen features stainless steel appliances, dark wood cabinets with crown molding and Corian countertops. A half wall separates the kitchen from the living area that shows a burgundy, green and brown color scheme.

A wood table set for four is topped with a candle centerpiece. The living room features a sofa, round glass coffee table, two chairs, plasma TV and is decorated with pottery and candles. Sliding doors lead to the outside deck.

The master bedroom with both a walk-in and wall closet features dark wood furniture including end tables with mirrors above and a chair for reading. The private bath features floral artwork and a walk-in shower with clear glass door.

With a travel theme, the guest room features a wall closet, soft yellow spread topped with pillows against a terra cotta wall, chest of drawers and accessories with an Asian flair.

A full hall bath with walk-in shower with clear glass door sits across from the second bedroom.

Other condominium plans include The Tahoe from $186,000 with 994 square feet, one bedroom and one bath; The Summit from $191,000 with 960 square feet, one bedroom and one bath; and The Keystone from $214,000 with 1,225 square feet, two bedrooms, two baths and a corner location.
