Suffern throws complete game in Raiders' win

Glenbard South 7, Yorkville 2: Complete-game winning pitcher David Suffern (2-1) and Nick Slezak both homered for the host Raiders (6-3, 1-0) in the Western Sun Conference opener. Slezak, Matt Behnke and Suffern all had 2 hits.

Oak Park 6, Glenbard West 5: The host Huskies scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning in the rubber game in the West Suburban Silver series. Ben Krusen, Will Caspers and Andy Anderson drove in runs for Glenbard West (4-5, 1-2), which led 5-2 through five innings. Steve Lindquist went 2-for-4.
