Don't fall for Obama's bait, switch
President Obama has clearly mastered the art of "bait and switch," but in his recent news conference defending his budget, he brought that art to a science. He told the crowd that his proposed budget moves America "from an era of borrow and spend" to one of "save and invest." Really? According to the Congressional Budget Office (nonpartisan), the Obama budget will lead to a $9 trillion deficit. That will bankrupt this nation, our children and their children. President Obama also promised a new era of transparency, but allowed Nancy Pelosi to jam the 1,000+ page budget through the House in less than 24 hours, which meant that not one of the Congressmen who voted for the massive bill read it. That is gross dereliction of duty. President Obama promised more bipartisan cooperation, yet he is trying to jam this budget through the Senate using a technicality that reduces the votes needed to carry the budget from 60 to just 50 thus eliminating bipartisan debate. And President Obama talks about not raising taxes to the middle class, but his "cap and trade" proposal will massively tax every man, women and child that buys or uses anything that requires energy. Some people call this process of duplicity "bait and switch." Other people have more colorful words for it. But in any case, if "we the people" quietly sit by and let this happen, we deserve what happens to us.
