No better choice than Kolssak
Wheeling has been called a diverse community, and I'd have to agree. No better example of this could be found than at the village president position. Since the untimely resignation of former village President Greg Klatecki, Wheeling has experienced three very different styles (agendas) of governing. Despite the lack of stability, to the average citizen things appear to be moving in the right direction. Stop ...
Moving in the right direction? Maybe, but only because a strong foundation was laid several years ago.
What's needed today is an infusion of fresh leadership. Someone that not only talks about partnerships, collaboration and being a good neighbor with other taxing bodies but one that will actually lead by example, inspire staff, and carry out those charges for the good of the community.
I believe that someone is David Kolssak.
I've known David for a number of years. We served on the economics development commission together. He currently site on the Chicago Executive Airport Commission.
He gets it! He understands giving back to the community. No hidden agendas, no self-serving interest. Doing it for the right reason is the fresh leadership this community needs.
