Vote yes for St. Charles fire referendums

During uncertain economic times it is easy to reject calls for increases from various taxing bodies. After all, what could be so important that it cannot wait another year or two? The answer is life safety. The St. Charles Countryside Fire Protection District has carefully analyzed risk factors affecting residents and concluded response times to emergency calls are way too high. Simply put, it takes too long for emergency personnel and equipment to reach many of our homes. The vast majority of residents surveyed indicated that response times need to be shortened, and they are willing to pay a reasonable amount to achieve this.

Now is the time to ensure that we all have fire and emergency protection consistent with the high quality of our communities. I urge you to join me in voting yes to both ballot questions for the fire protection district.
