Police probe fatal downstate shooting

HARRISBURG -- Police in the southern Illinois community of Harrisburg are investigating a weekend shooting that killed a man.

Investigators aren't yet releasing the name of the victim or a man they say has been taken into custody.

Authorities say the victim was shot in the head Saturday during an apparent dispute and later died at a hospital.

There's no word yet on any charges.

Saline County and Illinois state authorities are assisting in the investigation.
