Give people their money back

I would like to see the Hon. Mark S. Kirk enter a house bill for the stimulus package. Since the treasury holds the peoples' income tax money, it is the people's money, right?

Give each person who filed and paid an income tax report last year $500 per week in the form of something like food stamps. Once a week or once a month. They would have to show proper ID at specific locations. This could not be spent on liquor, tobacco, gambling or any other specified commodities.

Just think how this money would be spent. The auto companies would get back. Appliances would make a comeback. They could hire people, pay off mortgages, etc. Banks could loan money for new homes. People could eat out more often. More people could be hired for restaurant work.

The list goes on and on, you can fill in the rest. Give the money back to the people. Let them spend it. This is not my idea. Talk to Mitt Romney. This is his baby.
