Stay the course in Glen Ellyn parks

I endorse Ron Aubrey, Jeff Jourdan, Bill Taylor and Keith Schoen for re-election as commissioners of the Glen Ellyn Park District. They have demonstrated responsiveness to the wishes of the residents and responsibility in leadership. They declined to permit the village to construct the water detention facility in Ackerman Park, preserved the Main Street Recreation Center, and have maintained the fiscal soundness of the district. The park district is one of two in Illinois with an "AA" bond rating. The park district has made a significant contribution to the quality of life of our community, serving thousands of people of all ages. The facilities are well-maintained and accessible to all.
