Many examples of strong leadership

Having served on the public works and transportation and safety committees for many years, I have had the great pleasure of working with village president candidate Rick Soderstrom on many important Lombard issues. I have no doubt in my mind that Rick has the leadership skills, experience and dedication to serve as our next village president. Rick has the respect of the people that he works with and they have rewarded him time and time again with their vote of confidence. Let me give you a few examples: When Rick first began his career of service he was a Jaycee; his peers voted him president. Later on his fellow members of the Rotary Club also expressed their confidence in him by electing him president. In 1999, park board commissioners selected him to be president; he served a two-year term. Finally, the good residents in Lombard District 6 voted for Rick to replace a longtime and popular trustee. As you can see, Rick has the respect and confidence of those he has worked closely with. Lombard is long overdue for change. We finally have a qualified candidate to bring that.
