Lisa Stone is dedicated public leader

In these challenging times, we need our political representatives to truly do what they are elected to do - represent us and strive to deliver the promises they have made without hesitation.

The characteristics of the winning and successful representative will undoubtedly include not only passion and persistence, but integrity and trustworthiness as well. Lisa Stone embodies these qualities, and the people of Buffalo Grove will benefit from that type of leadership.

I met Lisa while managing through a difficult situation in our neighborhood. I was introduced to Lisa via a friend of a friend. On the surface, this may not seem earth shattering, but what's striking about this is that she took the time to talk with me, a person she never met, and lent her expertise in a very real way.

I believe in the saying, "We have two ears and one mouth"- we should listen twice as much as we talk. Lisa clearly believes in that notion.

Today, while being bombarded with the world's bad news at every turn, it's refreshing to see someone who really cares, and is willing to put the time in to make a difference. Lisa Stone is such a person. Buffalo Grove residents would do well to have such a committed and dedicated public leader.
