Naperville picks finance head:

A regional controller for North America at BP, Karen DeAngelis, has been named Naperville's new finance director. She replaces Doug Krieger, who became Naperville city manager earlier this year. More than 100 people applied for the position, Krieger said in a written release, but officials liked her financial operations and management experience from BP as well as her enthusiasm. DeAngelis has served in numerous posts at BP since 1981 and holds a masters of business administration in finance from Cleveland State University. She begins work April 13.
