Judson, ECC sweep DHs

Judson sweeps: The Eagles (10-15, 5-6 CCAC) came from behind in both games to sweep Illinois Tech 4-3 and 5-3 in Elgin. In Game 1, Zach Williams hit a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to make a winner of reliever Phillip Stewart, who earned his first collegiate victory. Trent Golz scattered 8 hits with 1 strikeout and 1 walk and Matt McHenry went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI in Game 2.

Kevin Fischer's stolen base in the opener gave him 38 career steals, surpassing the school record held by Woody Smith for 36 years.

ECC wins two: Elgin Community College improved to 12-7 (2-0 in the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference) with a sweep of Morton College at Spartan Yard. Starter Dan Francik (5 IP, 4 hits) and reliever Kyle Kulkulski (2 IP, 1 hit) combined to shut out Morton in Game 1, supported by a 2-for-3 outing by Dan Scahill. In Game 2, Anthony Campanella tossed a complete-game 3 hitter and Cory Hodge went 3-for-3 with 2 runs and a run batted in to lead the Spartans to a 10-0 victory in six innings.
