Annual Chefs' Fest planned for April 21
More than 50 restaurants are scheduled to take part in the annual Chefs' Fest planned for April 21.
Woodfield Chicago Northwest Convention Bureau hosts the festival that features food and beverage sampling. The event takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. at Arlington Park Racecourse at Euclid Avenue and Wilke Road. Live entertainment and a wine demonstration are other highlights.
For the third year, the event will accept nonperishable food donations to benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository for food pantries in the Chicago Northwest area. Last year, fest attendees donated more than 20 cases of food.
A silent auction will offer a large selection of items including dining, hotel and attraction certificates.
This is the 16th year for the culinary festival that provides a showcase for food and hotel members of the Woodfield Chicago Northwest Convention Bureau. The first year, there were a handful of local restaurants and about 300 attendees. The event has grown to nearly 60 exhibitors with an attendance of more than 2,000.
Tickets are $30 the day of the event and $25 purchased in advance. Parking is free.
Tickets can be ordered online at chefsfest.com or by calling (847) 490-1010.
