Teacher supports Ritter in Carpentersville
I am writing this letter on behalf of Ed Ritter, who is running for Carpentersville village president. As a teacher at Westfield Community School, I have known Ed Ritter for seven years; and during this time he has been a mentor, a leader and a friend. Since the first day meeting Ed I have witnessed his dedication to his colleagues, his students, and the profession of education; I am confident that this dedication will transfer to the village of Carpentersville.
Ed has the great ability to not only give advice but to also seek it. I have seen on countless occasions how he will collaborate with a diverse group of people and make informed and positive decisions. He will stand up for what he believes in, yet listen to all ideas and ultimately make a decision that is in the best interest of the group as a whole.
Ed is never satisfied with being just good enough. Although Ed has been teaching for years, he is constantly trying to make his lessons more challenging and engaging for the changing needs of his students. Students know that they will be challenged in Ed's classroom, yet so many rise to this and become better lifelong learners because of it.
Over the last seven years I have seen what a successful and enthusiastic teacher Ed is. I know all of these traits will help Ed Ritter be successful as Carpentersville village president.
