Lake Barrington needs this team of leaders
The Village of Lake Barrington doesn't need a professional politician, or any of his "yes man" followers. We have felt the negative impacts of (Kevin) Richardson's leadership. Our village needs a team that delivers honest and open government and who interact with the community providing the true "Voice of the Residents". Why Vonder Haar, Schofield and Suarez?
Jean Vonder Haar is chair of the Village Finance Committee, the leader who has delivered accountable and ethical spending of taxpayer money, and who as a village trustee listens and interacts with residents to make decisions in their best interest and not in the interest of politics.
Connie Schofield, a proven leader who previously served as Village President and trustee, is returning to take the politics out of Lake Barrington and return it to the people. A strong advocate of the peoples' voice, Connie focuses on environmental issues, operating efficiencies, securing safe surroundings and really protecting the countryside in which we live.
Javier Suarez, a business veteran having worked at Abbott for over 21 years, has successfully guided pharmaceutical industry initiatives and leads business development projects for non profit organizations. Javier has the business knowledge, ethical character, track record and skills to guide Lake Barrington's economic development to grow a strong tax revenue base. As a Trustee, Javier will create economic stability by involving community businesses, external partnerships and residents to attract the right businesses for our community and those around us.
By electing Vonder Haar, Schofield and Suarez into office, we will have peace of mind and a leadership team that will protect all residents and make governing decisions in the community's best interest. They take a stand against an OTB, they want desirable businesses and they want to protect our single largest investments, our home values.
