Actress to bring Ellis Island stories to life
Actress Pippa White will be performing a one-woman show, "Voices of Ellis Island," at noon Tuesday, March 31, at the Heritage Ballroom at The Centre, 100 Symphony Way, Elgin.
The program deals with stories from 1892 to 1930. Ellis Island was the first experience of life in America for millions of immigrants. Their true stories are amusing, inspiring and frightening. White's program is part history, part acting and part storytelling.
