Krenz best pick for Carpentersville mayor

On April 7 we have an opportunity to elect a new village president of Carpentersville. It is widely known (locally and across the country) that Carpentersville has a dysfunctional village government. The actions of the board and their absence of direction have negatively affected Carpentersville. I think that in this election we need to get involved.

I ask that you actively support Jim Krenz for village president. Jim is the founder of Amy Plumbing. He and his wife, Pat, live on the west side of Carpentersville. He has the time to dedicate to the job and my experience with him indicates that he can provide direction, organization and composure for the village board.

Property values are down nationally, but they are affected more negatively in Carpentersville because of the image that this government projects. There are several hundred vacant homes in Carpentersville. This village board has declined to work with local investors who have offered to help address the problem. Businessmen and developers find it harder to work with Carpentersville than surrounding communities. My personal experience is that the code enforcement and engineering department are more like a referee throwing penalty flags than a coach trying to help the team win. In this difficult economy, we cannot afford the added complication of a dysfunctional village government. I think Jim can help us fix this.
