Britta McKenna for mayor of Batavia

When the Riverwalk needed to get built, Britta McKenna didn't just think about it or study it. She made a decision and built it. And she motivated hundreds of other Batavians to help. She made a decision to raise $3.2 million to get the Riverwalk built and she did it.

When she was elected to the Batavia park board, she made a decision and established the current capital development and capital improvement programs, which keep on eye on our assets.

When Britta was hired as executive director for Main Street, she kept making decisions and she restored financial integrity to the organization, won eight Illinois State Awards for excellence, attained designation of "Premier Program" in 2008, and continues to push hard for business recruitment and retention in the downtown.

Always looking to improve, Britta made a decision to go back to school and is currently enrolled at Northern Illinois University seeking a Master of Public Administration degree.

There's so much more about Britta that you can find on her Web site at britta4batavia.org.

I invite you to compare her credentials with her opponents ... she's the only sensible choice.
