View on stem cells was one-sided
I completely disagree with Cynthia Tucker's analysis of the stem cell research controversy. Tucker puts all of her view on the side of scientists that are prejudiced by their desire to do research at any cost. She ignores or demeans scientists that have a different opinion. She also ignores all the wonderful stem cell research that is ongoing with human skin cells, blood cells, and the stem cell lines that President Bush provided to the scientific community.
Embryonic stem cells are the beginning of human life. Do we want to start down that slippery slope where all human life is expendable for "the greater good?"
Tucker denigrates the millions of people who disagree with her. She insults them because they are people of faith. Since when has it become justifiable to accept that "the end justifies the means?"
It is obvious that Tucker needs a study of philosophy, particularly ethics and logic. It is very evident that she possesses neither.
