Woman arrested after drive through at the blood bank

ROCK ISLAND -- Police in Rock Island say they have arrested a woman for allegedly driving her car through the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center.

The woman, who was identified only as being a 30-year-old from Rock Island, was being held at the Rock Island County Jail late Saturday night.

Rock Island police Sgt. Jeff Collins says the crash occurred early Saturday morning. Collins says the woman apparently lost control of her car and crashed it into the lobby of the blood bank. The car then came out the other side of the building and plunged into a nearby ravine, where it crashed into a tree.

Collins says the woman was not injured.
