Why oh why did we pass a bailout?
Little did we know that it would take eight years for Y2K to become a reality. Except now we can call it YYY.
Y - Didn't the government just buy all the houses in foreclosure and rent them? We could have spent less than 30 billion, and when the houses go up in value, they would be able to repay the loan.
Y- Aren't all these guys that head the banks, mortgage companies, the useless SEC, Barney Franks and the rest of their cohorts in jail? How is this Ponzi scheme any different from Madoffs'? They knew they were taking a huge risk, receiving big profit money, they were lying, and they get to keep their jobs, acquire millions at our expense.
Y - Is that our government officials are not hurt by this downturn? They get raises, pensions, and basically ruin our lives on a daily basis. Name me one politician that actually wants to help us. Heck, just name me one that is not a crook. They say that 40 percent of the working population don't pay taxes, and as we've seen, it's the politicians that are part of that 40 percent. Let's drop the governments work force by 20 percent, drop their salaries by 40 percent, no benefits, no raises, no perks, no trips, term limits across the board, and the problems would turn around in a minute. Also, lets drop FICA for a year. (It's an easy way to give us a boost in our checks.) Stop nepotism now!
If you think they care about you, you are either brain-dead or just dead. This bailout is full of little pet projects that have nothing to do with the economic problems they have put on us.
