Stimulus is better than sliced bread
What could possibly be better than sliced bread? President Obama's economic stimulus package, I think, is slowly becoming that possibility. I am a big fan of going green and Obama's incorporation of environmentally friendly jobs and ideas is excellent. As one of the kids who will be paying for this in the future, this could soon become one of the best things for our globe and world and the best learning experience for my generation. During lunch a few days ago, I heard a girl complain about not receiving enough money from her parents for shopping this weekend and how awful it was. Though I don't mean to be cruel or harsh in any way toward her or anyone else who has not been hit with the effects of the recession, this generation of teenagers asks for too much, expects too much, and does too little. I pray that this recession will teach our generation that money isn't going to always be there, and neither is our environment. It's our job to take control of the future and protect our earth. Obamas stimulus package will definitely help our environment too. Our economy will improve when people are able to pay their bills. Because of the new jobs that will come with the change in our country's lifestyle, we will not only change the nation's CO2 emissions, but that of our world. This process is going to take time and I think it's time that people start to understand that this is a marathon, not a sprint.
