New committee members
Two DuPage County Board members were named to the Sperling Committee by County Board Chairman Robert Schillerstrom. District 6 board member James Zay and District 5 board member John Zediker were tapped to be on the committee that bestows an annual heroism award on DuPage residents. The awards were named after Mark and Bruce Sperling, two brothers who died attempting to rescue a kayaker in the Fox River in 2007. Bruce Sperling was the first recipient of the award. Schillerstrom also named District 2 board member Patrick O'Shea the committee's chairman.
