Chicago reacts to news of IOC revenue deal

Chicago Olympic organizers are focused on showcasing their bid to the International Olympic Committee amid news that the IOC could end a revenue-sharing deal with the U.S. Olympic Committee.

Chicago 2016 spokesman Patrick Sandusky said Wednesday that he's confident the matter will be resolved in an appropriate way.

An IOC executive board member tells The Associated Press that the USOC could face possible cancellation of the revenue contract if it doesn't make concessions at a meeting next week. They want the American group to agree to a small share of money.

In Chicago, Olympic organizers are planning for next month's site visit by the IOC before it picks the host city for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Chicago is a finalist along with Tokyo, Madrid and Rio de Janeiro.
