Bond puts money where mouth is
I attended a town-hall meeting for the improvement of Route 83 through the village of Antioch. The presentation was very nice and the IDOT engineers answered the questions of the people who attended. I am glad to see some work being done to help with the traffic situation in this area.
It seems like a long time ago that studies were being talked about to improve Route 83 and then nothing else happened. The area keeps getting more and more crowded with no improvement, just a lot of talk.
So, my thanks to Sen. Michael Bond and IDOT for their work on the project and helping make the roads better. We have lots of work that needs attention in this part of our state and hopefully this will be the first of many projects not the last.
I am sure that Sen. Bond had to work long and hard to make this project happen and I am doubly thankful for his efforts on behalf of the people in this area.
