No need for Burris to resign in disgrace

As all of us know, the Republicans want Burris to resign so that they can have another shot at winning a senate seat. The real fault in this debacle is the fact that there was a lack of expertise when the Illinois House questioned Mr. Burris. The poor questioning of Mr. Burris has led to this situation, not Mr. Burris. All experts in this situation have said that Mr. Burris did not commit perjury. It is possible that Mr. Burris was not as forthcoming during the House questioning as he should have been, but that is speculation. The questioners in the House impeachment committee really are at fault in this situation. Mr. Burris, a good public servant, should not resign in disgrace when he has done no wrong. Stewart E Brekke
