Kelly already proven to be good leader
During the spring of 1994, my family and I hopped in the car each weekend and left Chicago in search of a new home in the Northwest suburbs.
Finally, on a cold, rainy day, we traveled down Main Street, came upon Bartlett Park with its picturesque gazebo and historic log cabin and instantly knew this was the place we would set our roots down and call home.
Just a few short years later my mother and youngest sister followed. There's nothing like being surrounded by family when you are raising your children. I am proud to say that family in Bartlett goes beyond grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Your Bartlett family includes your neighbors, friends, teachers, coaches, scout leaders, music instructors, fellow parishioners, grocer and countless chamber members, volunteer partners and yes, your elected officials.
As another cold and rainy spring approaches, I will be headed to that same log cabin to cast my vote for Mike Kelly.
Mike has the proven leadership that will keep Bartlett solvent and growing during the difficult days ahead. He has five children who have participated in sports alongside my own children at Bartlett Park District and in Bartlett Little League. He is a member of the Bartlett Lions, the President of Clare Woods Academy's Board and belongs to the Bartlett Chamber of Commerce, Knights of Columbus and has been active as an usher and Finance Committee member at St Peter Damian Parish.
Mike is a proven executive who's led Hanover Township for 12 years. While Mike was supervisor, the Senior Center was built, services were expanded at the Township Food Pantry in Hanover Park, and many programs were introduced such as medical bracelets for seniors.
Most importantly, Mike increased township services without raising taxes. Hanover Township is in better financial shape now than when Mike started.
Bartlett needs Mike Kelly's leadership for the next four years. Mike will help local business, both big and small to grow by eliminating unnecessary red tape.
I'll vote for Mike Kelly on April 7 and I encourage those in my Bartlett family to do the same.
