Man accused of harassing witnesses

JOLIET -- Authorities in Will County have filed witness harassment charges against a man already charged in a shooting that wounded three people, including a 7-year-old boy.

Police say 19-year-year-old Mark Bew was ordered jailed Saturday after being accused of threatening the wounded child's mother and aunt.

In June, Bew was charged with three counts of aggravated battery with a firearm. While he wasn't accused of pulling the trigger, police contend Bew helped the alleged gunman, Justin Campbell.

Campbell is accused of firing seven shots, hitting a pair of young men and a 7-year-old boy who was sitting on a couch in a nearby apartment.
