Look for truth about unionization bill

On Feb. 23, the Daily Herald published two letters to the editor criticizing the Employee Free Choice Act. One falsely claimed the act eliminated the secret ballot. The other falsely claimed that the Act would open workers to union coercion. Both claimed to be looking out for the best interest of the average American worker. But one letter was written by an anti-union lobbyist out of Washington, D.C., and the other was written by an Illinois Republican with strong contacts in the business community.

Their attempt at trying to represent the workingman's best interests by encouraging defeat of EFCA was so transparent it was laughable. The fact both these letters appeared the same day shows that there is a concerted effort by big business to misinform the American public about the benefits of EFCA.

You know that the EFCA is a great bill if Republicans and big business are trying so hard to convince us otherwise.
