Two hurt in head-on Geneva crash on Old Kirk Road
A head-on crash in Geneva sent two drivers to the hospital today, police said.
The crash happened about 4:30 p.m. when a Mini Cooper traveling east on Old Kirk Road crossed the center line, hit several road signs and collided with an oncoming Chevrolet pickup truck near Route 38.
A Geneva police sergeant at the scene said both drivers, a man and woman, were taken to Delnor Hospital. The male driver of the pickup truck had critical injuries, the officer said. Information on the other driver wasn't immediately available.
Police said the drivers were the lone occupants of their vehicles.
Investigators temporarily shut down westbound Old Kirk Road in the area of the crash.
