Chicago gang member charged in arson deaths
A Chicago man is accused of killing a pregnant woman and her child by setting their North Side apartment building ablaze.
Police say 18-year-old Jovan Djurdilov faces charges of first-degree murder and aggravated arson in the deaths of 7-year-old Itzel Fernandez and 23-year-old Roxanne Ocampo. Several other people were injured in January fire.
Police on Friday identified Djurdilov as a member of the Spanish Cobras and said he set the fire trying to kill a rival gang member.
There were no phone listings available for Djurdilov and it wasn't immediately clear if he has an attorney.
Authorities say they have another suspect in custody, but they haven't filed additional charges.
