Searchers find body of Ill. trucker in Ohio flood

MILLER CITY, Ohio -- Authorities in Ohio say they've found the body of an Illinois trucker who got lost and turned onto a country road covered by floodwaters.

Authorities say the body found Friday morning in a cornfield south of Toledo is that of Clyde Mayo. Mayo was from Martinton, about 60 miles south of Chicago.

Putnam County Sheriff Jim Beutler says the 74-year-old trucker drove into 4 feet of rushing water that pushed his 18-wheeler off the road Wednesday night.

The sheriff thinks Mayo then tried to get out of his truck and became disoriented before drowning.

Heavy rains in the northwest corner of Ohio led to widespread flooding this week.
