Cleanup volunteers wanted

Volunteers are needed to participate in a "One Day Service Project" to remove trash in and around Indian Creek in Aurora from 8 a.m. to noon April 4. Sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Aurora and other groups, the project includes opportunities for residents to dispose of unused medication. Volunteers will meet at the Aurora Transportation Center parking lot, 233 N. Broadway Ave., and clean a four-mile section of Indian Creek from Molitor Road to the Fox River. Easter Seals seeks sponsors

Easter Seals DuPage and Fox Valley Region is seeking business sponsors and participants for its sixth annual Run for Kids. The run takes place at 9 a.m. May 9 at the Easter Seals offices, 830 S. Clow may get media award

Naperville's Clow Elementary Library Media Center is a finalist for the National School Library Media Program of the Year $10,000 award. The award honors school library media programs for practicing their commitment to ensure students and staff are effective users of ideas and information and recognizes exemplary school library media programs that are fully integrated into the school's curriculum. Five representatives from the American Association of School Librarians will spend today at the school observing the program and learning about the importance of the Library Media Center as it relates to the elementary school.
