1 injured in stabbing at Chicago high school
School officials in Chicago say a male student was injured after another student stabbed him with scissors during a conflict resolution session at a South Side high school.
Chicago Public Schools spokeswoman Monique Bond says the stabbing happened Wednesday morning during a supervised meeting at DuSable High School.
Bond says the students were trying to resolve a conflict when one allegedly lunged at the other with scissors.
The students are 15 or 16 years old. Their names weren't released.
A Chicago police spokeswoman says officers called to the scene took a male suspect into custody. A fire department spokesman says the victim was taken in serious to critical condition to Stroger Hospital.
