Abbott launches heart catheter

LIBERTYVILLE TOWNSHIP - Abbott announced Tuesday the launch of the Voyager NC coronary dilatation catheter in the United States, Europe and select countries in Asia and Latin America.

This next-generation balloon dilatation catheter could be used to treat patients with coronary artery disease during angioplasty procedures.

Physicians can use it to navigate bends and turns of a patient's system.
