Plan for Randall needs overhaul
After reading the article recently about the improvements along Randall Road, I have to question: What are they thinking?
Right in and right out at Stonegate? What good will this do? We need a light at that intersection. Don't tell me we can't have one because it would be too close to the others. Look at the distance between the lights at Algonquin Commons. Yes, I know, that's a different county, but so what. A light at that intersection would eliminate a lot of the traffic on the frontage roads. Right in and right out will only increase the frontage road traffic, making it more difficult and dangerous than ever to shop in the area.
For pedestrians, it's almost impossible to cross Randall Road safely, and in order to cross at a light they have to walk all the way to either Bunker Hill or Algonquin Road.
What about the cost, you say? Make it a camera controlled light, and Algonquin will make up the money in no time.
