It's time to stop political corruption

One more corrupt politician is out of office. That is only the tip of the iceberg.

Where is our outrage? We have a bunch of bought politicians running our state and this country and all of us should be mad. But all we do is shrug our shoulders. We could ban together and kick the bums out of office.

But that would require people to work together, and it seems the American people have forgotten how to do that.

Here are a few ideas that I believe all of us would like to see.

1. Limit Congress and our politicians in Springfield from serving more than two four-year terms.

2. Stop Congress and state politicians from voting for their own pay raises.

3. Stop paying high insurance premiums for politicians. They might pass laws that would change the way the insurance companies do business if they had to find one for themselves.

4. Stop paying these people their full salaries after serving one term. We need to get rid of that pension plan.

5. Make these freeloaders pay into the Social Security system.

6. Stop giving out aid to illegal aliens. If we did that maybe then Medicaid and food stamps would have enough to take care of our own.

7. Secure our borders.

8. Stop giving automatic citizenship to children that born here to illegal aliens.

9. Stop bailing out companies and banks that give loans to people who cannot afford them.

10. Stop companies from paying CEOs and executives outrageous salaries and perks while they are doing away with jobs and pensions.

11. Stop all unnecessary spending (period). Maybe then we would have enough to help the baby boomers with Social Security.

Only members of Congress can do this, if only we could get them out of the hip pockets of big business and the special interest group.
