It's time for GOP to embrace reality

First, we suffered under eight years of failed Republican policies that sent us over the brink financially. Second, we came to our senses and elected Barack Obama and a Democratic congress in an effort to turn back the disaster that is our economy. Third, President Obama was rebuffed as he reached across the aisle to offer concession after concession to the Republicans on the stimulus plan. And now Senator McCain tells the media talking heads that the president is not playing fair? Nothing could be further from the truth.

It is time for the president, the Democratic Congress and the American people to tell the Republican minority, in no uncertain terms, to get off their obstructionist behinds and follow the mandate voters set forth in November.
