'Irreligious' to express one's views?
In response to the Feb. 19 letter by Nicole Glasgow, headlined "On freedom of, and from religion," I would like to share the following comments. Just how are people deprived of freedom from religion? Are they not allowed to express themselves or vote? If the majority of people elect a person partly because of his religion, is that being narrow-minded or unpatriotic? Do religious people have a right to express their views or does the person wish to disenfranchise the right to vote because of their religion? Must we be irreligious to qualify? Must we all be free from religion? Is that freedom?
